It’s the Window Man cake walk!

3rd May 2010

This time last year, we were primed to go into the Premiership with Burnley FC, now a year on and Stevie Gerrard’s double strike for Liverpool has ended the dream. Unfortunately we are to return to the Championship, where, on the bright side, at least the pies are tastier!!!

On the 17-18th April, I was Toast Master at a high profile wedding, a Mrs & Mrs Connolly in Burnley. It was a right good do, with them being a big Irish family, the family members were all singing and dancing and it was such a fantastic atmosphere. It spilled over into an after-wedding party on the Sunday, ending with a massive, spectacular firework display!

Lately I’ve been on the road, travelling all over down South, visiting the Safestyle branches of Romford, Brighton, Maidstone, and Reading, and helping to promote a fantastic new innovation which is proving to be a major hit and pulling in even more business! It’s very exciting times at Safestyle in the double glazing industry, particularly as we’re beginning to receive awards in recognition of our product developments and customer service. So watch this space for more info coming soon!

  Friends sent me
  this lovely cake
  to thank me for
  charity work

On May 6th I’m presenting Goal of the Season Award at Burnley’s Player of the Year Awards again, this time with another member of TV’s “Benidorm” - Hannah Hobley (who plays the daughter of the family). I’m looking forward to this as it’s my third year presenting this award. Chesney off Coronation Street and John Kettley the weatherman, will also be in attendance at the James Hargreaves Suite.

So… Another year’s gone by - it was my birthday just recently, and I had a nice family party to celebrate. Not only that but I received a special cake from friends and colleagues in recognition of the charity work that I help with.

Just goes to show you can have your cake and eat it – I said eat it!

Until next time,
it’s been emotional,
Safestyle Window Man Jeff
