Safestyle′s Window Man is a busy, busy man!

Hello again! I′ve been mighty busy since the last time I posted. Firstly I was compering at a "Lady′s Day" for the match Burnley vs Hull on Saturday 31st October, wearing a bow tie and tux, for which the BBC did a special Match of the Day 2 report. It was a good laugh, the day went great - there were people from Harvey Nicks doing a fashion show, and Humberstones Jewellers did a raffle and someone won a £500 bracelet! Oh and we won 2-0!
That week I visited the Safestyle branches of Manchester, Hull and Coventry, and then went on to film a new Safestyle TV ad – it was an interesting experience, quite surreal in some ways with special effects going on, and I ended up being "left out in the cold!"
The following Friday I was compering at a charity dinner for Bovis Homes, which is linked to the Furniture for Education Worldwide charity I′ve helped and supported previously. I was also the Auctioneer, helping raise £6000 on the auction, and altogether I reckon we raised £10,000 – fantastic!
On Saturday 21st November it was Burnley vs Aston Villa and I was compering at the European suite. After the match drew 1-1 we were doing the quiz results and interviews and there was a sudden power cut, but I carried on regardless because (as you can imagine, with my voice) a microphone was not needed!
Then that following week I was at Safestyle UK again, in Reading, Brighton and Luton branches, speaking to all our lads and buzzing them up with the energy saving double glazing message!
What′s this I keep hearing about a "scrappage scheme"? First it was cars, now it′s windows? But when I look it up, all I can find is a petition - a government "national window scrappage scheme" doesn′t exist! So far as I can tell, a couple of Nationals have put their heads together and dreamt it up! Or maybe it′s just a "scrap" between them. In any case, begging for scraps just isn′t our style.
Anyway, gotta dash, the phone′s ringing!
Yours in the busy double
glazing business,
Safestyle Window Man Jeff
