Window Man is Mr Motivator for youngsters

5th May 2009

Don’t forget to vote for the Safestyle Window Man T-shirts below, but in the meantime I’ll let you know what I’ve been up to. I get invited to make various speeches all over the country, and recently I was asked by manager Janet Wallis to do a motivational talk with the young offenders at the Accrington New Era Youth Centre.

The teenagers visit the centre every other Saturday and take part in sports and attend some educational classes, with a guest speaker every fortnight. They get help with general issues to help them get back on the straight and narrow.

I talked about how to concentrate on the good things in their lives, finding out what they are good at and concentrating on those areas to become better all round. The first group I met were ages 12-16, about 20 of them, while the second was older, 16-18 year olds, about 8 of them. The younger ones, as you can imagine, were cheeky and took a while to settle down. They already knew me well from the Safestyle TV ads and I kept getting told to BOGOF!

    Helping youngsters
    to get motivated
    to improve
    themselves!

I felt great about the whole experience! It was a very rewarding thing to do, helping youngsters get motivated to improve themselves, and I would like to do a lot more to help. I’ve done a lot of stuff for the Prince’s Trust such as prize-giving and keynote speeches, and I’ll be going back to the Accrington New Era Youth Centre in the future.

Yours in high energy
motivation,
Safestyle Window Man Jeff
